Hailing from County Mayo with a degree from the Institute of Art, Design & Technology, Dun Laoghaire, Lucy Butler is an Irish artist whose sculptural work is predominantly inspired by the historical architecture of the Irish landscape. She highlights remnants of our past while exploring the intrigue of history, folklore and fairytale.
Lucy’s current collection has been exhibited within Ireland, including at The Secret Garden Exhibition, Kilkenny; FORM Sculpture Exhibition, Belfast; Birr Arts Centre and Ballina Arts Centre. The works have been popular both nationally and internationally particularly with the Irish diaspora in the USA and Australia.
Being a typical Millennial, Lucy has used her digital acumen to share her works in progress, ideas and fairly frequent disasters with a wide international audience on Instagram.
